TMI Annual Convention – Bournemouth, 11-12 October
The TMI Annual Convention is the annual gathering and conference for all those working in destination management across the UK, whether in DMOs, regions, towns, national parks or events, and whether directors, practitioners, academics, consultants or students.
This year's event is primarily from the evening of 11th October until later afternoon on the 12th, but the 11th October will also see a ‘University/Practitioner/Student Summit’ hosted at Bournemouth University Talbot Campus from noon until 3.30pm. This will be especially relevant for our members working in higher education.
A selection of study tours will follow, then an informal evening get together at the Keywest Restaurant at the Pier at 7.30pm preceeded by drinks and the TMI AGM at 7pm.
The Convention will take place at the new Hilton Bournemouth on Wednesday 12th October. Registration will open at 9am, with the conference starting at 9.30am and finishing around 4.45pm. There is a wide range of topics being covered - from BIDS, a Discover England case study and Research to OTAs, Accessible Tourism and BREXIT.

Bournemouth is an extraordinarily well connected destination, with direct trains from much of the UK and great connections with flights into Southampton airport.
