TMI Membership & Communications Contractor

TMI are seeking a contractor to provide communication and membership services support for the period to 31 March 2021. Requiring an average of three days per month, the role will support the TMI Executive Board to provide services to the organisation’s membership. The contractor will provide the services from a location of their choice but may be required to attend occasional meetings across the UK. Contractors wishing to apply for this role should write outlining their suitability to deliver the services listed in the role Services Specification and attaching an up to date C.V. Services to be provided:

  1. Manage TMI Communications

    1. Work with Executive Communications Lead to agree communications strategy and calendar for each year for approval by Executive Board

    2. Prepare update reports for TMI Executive Board meetings

  2. Administer and maintain the TMI web site

    1. Administer and maintain existing content and develop new content as required including monthly blog

    2. Work with the CPD Contractor to administer the Knowledge Exchange and Knowledge Bank resources.

    3. Act as first point of contact for the Website Provider and email host

  3. Manage Email communications

    1. Source, write and upload content for TMEye newsletter one or two times per month as required.

    2. Maintain email management system

  4. Coordinate Social Media communications

    1. Manage TMI Linked In account

    2. Ensure login information for Facebook and twitter is maintained and shared with appropriate Executive Group members.

  5. Administer TMI Services

    1. Communicate and administer opportunity to promote members’ and other organisations’ job vacancies on website and in other communications

    2. Maintain and administer Suppliers and Sponsors listings on website

  6. Manage TMI Membership

    1. Manage annual membership renewals process and ongoing membership administration

    2. Act as first point of contact for members’ queries and requests for information from potential members

    3. Develop recruitment strategy for approval by Executive Board and manage recruitment communications

    4. Carry out administration procedures for new members

  7. Manage Student Block Membership

    1. Liaise with relevant universities to administer membership for current and graduating students

Time Commitments

It is expected that the above services will require a time commitment from the Contractor of an average of 2 days per month for Communications tasks and 1 day per month for Membership tasks.

Fees:

TMI will pay fixed fees inclusive of expenses for the different elements of the above contract as follows:

Communications £300 per contracted month

Membership £150 per contracted month

Total £450 per contracted month

Travel and subsistence expenses will be paid when required with prior approval from TMI President.

Contract review and potential renewal

Performance against this contract will be reviewed by the TMI Executive Board before the end of 2020. Subject to performance and satisfaction on both sides a contract may be offered for future services following contract end.
