Donations in memory of Simon Curtis to help restore Calverley Old Hall
9th April 2019
£1,650 donated to Landmark Trust in memory of Simon Curtis is to go towards restoration of Calverley Old Hall, Leeds, West Yorkshire. Simon’s widow, Lesley, would like to thank TMI colleagues who have contributed, and tells us a panel in Simon’s memory will be erected at the property in due course.
Simon Curtis, TMI’s late and much missed Head of Events, organised family holidays at Landmark Trust properties most years and the family have chosen to support the restoration of Calverley Old Hall near Leeds, as the restoration and continued use of historic buildings was one of Simon’s passions. Calverley Old Hall is medieval in origin and located in the Calverley conservation area. It has been looked after and gradually undergone restoration by the Landmark Trust since 1981. You can read about the history of the site and the phases of its restoration to date on the Landmark Trust web site.
