TMI Annual Convention Feedback
14th November 2019
Feedback is in from delegates who attended this year’s Annual Convention in Chester and once again, results are overwhelmingly positive. 96% of respondents rated the Convention overall as Excellent or Very Good, while all respondents felt that it met their expectations, voted it good value for money, that they would use the learnings gained and would attend similar events again.
As in previous years, most respondents heard about the event through TM Eye and TMI emails, but recommendation from colleagues was third on the list. Good news for our sponsors as nearly 90% said they would be contacting the sponsors and exhibitors for further information.
Topics and subjects suggested for future TMI events included, inevitably, Brexit and its impacts on inbound tourism, general booking levels, skills issues; other topics included tourism sector deal, tourism zones, and cultural tourism, as well as learning from other DMOs on best practice, future direction for DMOs, overtourism, upskilling front line destination staff and sustainability and climate change.
