OECD Consultation into Tax reporting Rules for the Gig Economy
9th March 2020
The OECD is consulting on proposals for new tax reporting rules for sharing/gig economy platforms.
This may have implications for AirBnB, as until now it has been easy for hosts to avoid tax on their income. That may be about to change.
This is quite a short consultation, it closes on Friday the 20th March, so submissions need to completed quite quickly.
Interested parties are invited to send their comments no later than Friday, 20 March 2020, 18:00 (CET) by email to email@example.com in Word format (in order to facilitate their distribution to government officials).
All comments should be addressed to the International Co-operation and Tax Administration Division, Centre for Tax Policy and Administration. Comments in excess of ten pages should attach an executive summary limited to two pages.
